"Sheryl Bailey is a
guitarist to watch out for. Great melodic ideas pour out of her with the
ease that comes in part from knowledge and practice, but in larger part
from a natural feel for melody and rhythm. With rare exceptions, she
doesn't fall back on familiar riffs and her tone is unique-warm and rich
in a manner that reminds me as much of Wes Montgomery as it does to
(Jim) Hall. In fact, it does her a disservice to invoke comparisons with
predecessors. I can't think of a young guitarist who has impressed me
more in the last few years."

"Her riffs
continue to amaze. Sheryl's playing is gentle but firm and she rolls off
rapid phrases with authority and ease."

"A
modernist burner with an abundance of Pat Martino-style chops, Bailey
sails up and
down the fretboard with fluid abandon."

- "Sheryl Bailey
knows how to serve up frenzied fusion guiltar/guitar synth, deliver
sultry hot grooves, and deftly handle jazz standards. She hangs
tight, delivers punchy, and remains breathlessly fluid in her
stylings."
